-- GSE-Reactive has announced that they plan on cloning some of the 
favorite interface cards of Apple II users.  In the works from Bill Garber 
and Henry Courbis is a Mockingboard clone, and hints of an 8-meg memory 
card for the GS have been made.  The group is currently offering the 
MicroDrive from ///SHH Systeme as well as the No-Slot Clock to the Apple

-- Rudy Guy, known to many online users as LJ Silicone, was at one time a 
contributing Editor to Nibble magazine and was also a founder of the Erie 
Apple Crunchers user group. His 1. website has downloadable Apple II 
software, hypercard stacks, links to other Apple II websites, and a

-- Apple II users who are forced to use a computer using a graphic browser 
like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or iCab may be interested in 
Robert Green's Apple Image Encoder.  Requiring Java 1.4 to run, version 
4.3.1 of the program will convert a modern image into a format usable by 
an Apple II , including lores, double lores, and super hires.  More

  -The popular Apple II game Silvern Castle has a new home.  Author Jeff 
Fink has set up Silvern Castle on the Web where players can download new 
versions, such as the new version 8.4.  The website and game can be found

 - Users of Anton Treuenfels' Hobby Cross Assembler will want to download 
the latest update, version 0.12.  The new version offers support for 
optional segmented source files, ability to output Intel hexadecimal 
format object files and a demo macro to include files implementing 8080 and 
Z80 instruction sets.  More information and downloading instructions can

 - Own an Apple I or replica and want to program on it?  If you're familiar 
with the FORTH programming language you'll want to check out FIG FORTH at

 - Mac OS X users looking to run 8-bit Apple II programs should take a 
look at Gerard Putter's update to his Virtual II program.  Version 4.1.  
Besides a few bugfixes, this new version lets the user mount Mac OS X 
folders as ProDOS disks, supports double-low-resolution graphics that 
would be found on the Apple //e, , and includes a plugin for the Spotlight 
feature in Tiger, that lets Spotlight search ProDOS disk images.  More
